Girls set cookie goals to support their chosen Girl Scout activities for the year, to fund community service and leadership projects, to attend summer camp, to travel to destinations near and far, and much more.
Pre-sales to families, friends and neighbors will be January 6-22, 2012. Girls will be selling cookies at local grocery stores and businesses starting February 24, 2012.
NEW THIS YEAR!
For the first time, girls who are not in a Girl Scout troop (or in a troop which isn’t participating in the cookie program) can sell Girl Scout cookies and earn camp cookie credits!
Cookie credits add up fast. Here’s what a girl can earn:
- If used for day camp, credits are worth $0.15/box
- If used for resident camp, credits are worth $0.30/box
- Girls who sell 400 boxes earn a free session at day camp or a 3-Day Girl Scout Camp resident camp program
- Girls who sell 600 boxes earn a free session at resident camp (up to one week in length)
In addition to cookie credits girls also earn $0.45/box in program certificates. Program certificates can be used for Girl Scouts of Alaska sponsored events, camp, membership dues and store purchases.
Cookie pre-sales (when girls take orders) run January 6-22. Cookies will arrive the week of February 20-24 at which point girls deliver cookies and collect money.
