End Your Summer with. . . A SPLASH!
GSAK and USFS are partnering for a two-day series for beginning kayakers!
For Juniors and Cadettes entering 4-8th grades
Cost: $10 (cash or check to GSAK)
Day One: Ward Lake from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Day two: Settlers’ Cove from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
What you need to do:

2. Pack your backpack! You will need:
Depends partly on weather. . .
-a baseball, sun hat, and/or a warm hat
-two water bottles
-lunch & snacks
-wear clothing layers (base layer under a warmer layer and extras if it gets chilly)
-rubber boots for getting into and out of kayaks
-if you have your own life jacket that fits well, please bring it. We will have life jackets if you don’t have your own.
-one complete extra set of clothes. They will practice assisted rescues in the lake. Be prepared to get wet.
*Please leave all electronics at home!
The USFS will provide all safety equipment and teach the basics of kayaking and safety. We need two adult GS volunteer to attend to help manage girls and learn how to kayak as well!
