What do Girl Scouts do? Almost anything they would like to! 

All registered Girl Scouts are welcome to participate in all Council sponsored events.  Events are one of the Pathways to being a Girl Scout!

Throughout the council there are great events happening.  Here is a link to our calendar to see what is happening in your area.  If you are visiting another part of the state check the calendar to see what might be happening. 

Here are some examples of the types of events that are offered during the year:

Outdoor Adventuring:

  • Caving in Ketchikan
  • Outdoor Survival & Skills across the state
  • Snowshoeing
  • Kayaking

STEM (Science, Engineering, Technology & Math):

  • Galileo Scopes
  • Robotics Series

Arts & Culture:

There are also many fantastic Service Unit events in communities throughout the council. Check the event description for information on how to register.

Encampment

Every two years the council hosts a three-day, all-girl world at the Fairgrounds in Palmer.  For more information click here.

To register for a council sponsored event you can either register by completing and sending in the Event Registration Form or by registering online.

Are you interested in offering programs to Girl Scouts in your area? Download, complete and send in a Partnership Packet.

Girl Scouting is available to girls of all socio-economic backgrounds. Full and partial scholarships are available upon request for all council-sponsored activities.  To request a scholarship for a council sponsored event, please contact your nearest Girl Scout office directly (Juneau or Anchorage).
