CEO Corner: Girl Scout Spirit Week, MagNuts, auroras, Polynesian navigation, and whales!

CEO Corner

Hello, Girl Scouts! One of my favorite times of year is here—not Halloween, but MagNuts (Fall Product)! I’m anxiously awaiting all the goodies I’ve ordered from girls across our council. My little secret is that I buy at least one item from every girl that sends me her avatar and asks. I’m going to have a lot of Madagascar Almonds to eat this year (I might share some). You still have until November 14 if you haven’t sent me your email yet! Remember, every girl that creates an avatar and sends an email is entered to win the super cute, super giant penguin! We love petting it in the store, but we’re happy to give it to a girl who wins it.

There are two other great reasons to love this time of year—Girl Scout Spirit Week and Juliette Gordon Low’s birthday on Halloween. Join us as we celebrate all things Girl Scouts and our fearless leader, JGL.

We’ve been doing a lot of very interesting programs you and your girls should check out on our calendar of events—girls can learn about the aurora, Polynesian navigation, Cook Inlet beluga whales, cybersecurity from an expert, and more. There are always a ton of fun activities on our Girl Scouts at Home page to check out, too.

We’re still getting a lot of questions about Covid-19 and how to hold meetings with the current guidelines and restrictions in place in the different communities. We keep our Covid-19 Updates page updated with guidance and you can always contact us via email or by phone at 907-248-2250 with any specific questions. Thanks to all of you who have been very creative in helping your girls meet and keep in touch with their Girl Scout sisters. Thanks for all you do to keep our girls and volunteers safe.

Have a great Halloween!
