There's no other Girl Scout quite like you! Keep the friendships, confidence, and adventure going by renewing your membership today.

The Girl Scout membership year runs from October 1 to September 30. Annual membership dues* are $65 for girl members and $30 for adult members.

2027 Early Bird

Girls, adults, and troops can earn exclusive incentives by registering or renewing for the 2027 Membership Year between April 1, 2026 and May 31, 2026!

The first 300 girls and 150 adults to register/renew will receive a GSAK t-shirt.
All girls who register/renew before May 31 will receive an Early Bird patch designed by one of GSAK's Girl Scouts. Could it be you? Submit your design by April 30, 2026.
The first 10 troops to renew 75%* of their girls, at least two troop leaders, and a troop treasurer will receive a Badge-in-a-Box of their choosing from a list of available badges (coming soon).
All troops who renew 75%* of their girls, at least two troop leaders, and a troop treasurer by May 31, 2026 will receive an additional $0.05/package sold in the 2027 Girl Scout Cookie Program.
All girls who register/renew by May 31, 2026 will be placed into a drawing to receive 1 of 10 GSAK Early Bird hoodies.

*New girls also count toward the 75%.

For Families: How to Renew Yourself or Your Family toggle arrow

Log into MyGS. You’ll need the email address and password you used to sign up for Girl Scouts. If you need help accessing your account, reach out—we’re happy to help!
Returning to the same troop and/or volunteer role?
- Once you’ve logged into your account, click the “Renew Now” button to renew all members of your household.
- Review your cart, agree to the Girl Scout Promise and Law, and click the “Add Payment Details” button .
- Enter your credit card information for payment and submit. Note: Some Girl Scout councils offer financial assistance or allow Girl Scouts to renew their membership with program credits. Connect with your  local Girl Scout council to learn more.
- You’re done! Once your order is processed, you'll receive an email confirmation of your membership renewal(s).
Not returning to the same troop or volunteer role?
- Click/tap on “My Household” in the left hand menu. 
- Check the “Select All” boxes or indicate the girls and adults in your household who you’d like to renew.
- Check the “Not Returning” box next to the troops or roles you’re not continuing with this year.
- You can continue to renew without choosing a new troop. Contact us to connect with a new opportunity in your area.
- Click “Add Renewal.”
- Confirm that the details for your household members are correct. Then, choose the membership year and select your desired payment type.
- Some Girl Scout councils offer financial assistance or allow Girl Scouts to renew their membership with program credits. Connect with your  local Girl Scout council to learn more.
- Review your cart, agree to the Girl Scout Promise and Law, and click the “Add Payment Details” button .
- Enter your credit card information for payment and submit.
- You’re done! Once your order is processed, you'll receive an email confirmation of your membership renewal(s).

For Troop Leaders: How to Renew Your Troop toggle arrow

Financial Assistance toggle arrow

Membership fees should never be a barrier to Girl Scouts. Check the financial aid box when registering to submit your financial aid request.

Do I need another background check? toggle arrow

Adult Girl Scout members holding a Girl Scout volunteer role are required to complete a background check every three years. The background check is completed online.

Following the completion of a membership renewal, all volunteers who have not completed a background check in previous years, or have not completed a background check in the past three years, will be asked to complete a background check.

Volunteers completing the background check will receive an email from the background check vendor, including specific directions on completing the background check.

Do I need to renew if I have a Lifetime Membership? toggle arrow

Lifetime members must confirm their volunteer role(s) for the new membership year in MyGS. This ensures we have accurate information about how you are participating each year. There is no payment required to confirm your role.

Why isn’t my username working?
Your username is typically your email address. If you have more than one email address, try each. You can also use the “Forgot Your Password?” link to send a reset email to your email address. If you’re still having trouble, contact our Customer Care team.

Why am I not receiving the password reset emails?
The password reset emails come from gsusacustomercare@girlscouts.org, so please make sure it’s added to your safe senders list. If you requested the reset email before marking our email address as safe, check your spam folder. If you’re still not receiving the email, contact our Customer Care team to verify that your username/email address is correct.

How do I reset my password when I no longer have access to the email address associated with my account?
Our Customer Care team can easily change your username/email address without requiring you to recreate your account. Contact us to get started.

Why can’t I see my family when I log in?
There are a couple reasons this could happen:

Another adult family member may be listed as the preferred contact on the account. That person must log in to renew. Contact our Customer Care team if you’d like to be listed as your household’s preferred contact.

You may have a second or duplicate account with a different email address. Try a different username. If that works, be sure to contact our Customer Care team to merge the two accounts into one.

Why can’t I see my troop(s) when I log in?
There are several reasons this could happen:

Troops are listed on a separate tab from your family. If you have more than one troop, look for the pull-down menu to change between them.
Check your member profile to make sure you’re listed as a volunteer in the troop.
Not all troop volunteers can access the troop tab. Contact us to see which volunteer roles they allow to access the tab.

If your background check has expired, you may lose access until it is up-to-date.
