Girl Scout Way Box: Engage your Girl Scouts – new and old – in learning about and practicing the traditions, spirit, and values of Girl Scouting. They will try out a game from 1912, celebrate their Girl Scout experience with a keepsake craft, eat sweet treats to commemorate a Girl Scout holiday, and participate in the time-honored candle-lighting ceremony. This box will not only help girls earn their Girl Scout Way badge, but they will also develop their connection to the larger sisterhood and demonstrate their commitment to the Girl Scout Law. Available for all Girl Scout levels from Daisy through Ambassador.
Badges:
We are bringing back Badge-in-a-Box kits. Each kit focuses on a specific badge for each level and includes everything needed to help the troop girls earn the badge. We have written easy-to-follow directions for the leader to help guide them through the process.
Badge-in-a-Box kits can be picked up at the Anchorage Girl Scout store OR mailed to you. Please allow 1-2 weeks for assembling and shipping your kit. The kits are designed for groups of at least 12 Girl Scouts.

Girl Scouts of Alaska Council Patches
Girls can learn more about the Last Frontier by earning council patches. View the Council Patch Book. GSAK council patches are available for purchase for girls or troops. Kits are not currently available to check out as they are in the process of being updated. Activities that fit the theme and goals of the patches may be substituted for those that require specific kit supplies.

Summer Passport to Adventure
Fill up your summer free time with fun and engaging activities. The summer Passport to Adventure patch series has four badges – one for just getting started and three others for completing themed activities focused on the outdoors, self-discovery, or STEM. Complete the full set this summer! (Complete 1 activity for the Passport center patch. For each themed patch: Daisies and Brownies complete 4 or more activities, Juniors and up complete 6-7+.)

Anchorage Public Library
Anchorage Public Library is now offering a Girl Scout Patch. To earn the patch all girls will need to get at least one library card for their family and take a library tour. Brownies and up must complete library scavenger hunts. View the guidelines.

This patch is inspired by the Army values. Army National Guard Soldiers live these values every day in everything they do, whether on the job or off duty. The Army Values are what being a Soldier is all about: Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage. See the guidelines.

Strong Girls Health Meeting Patch
Magic of Motion
Developed while a student, Jazmine Tooles, PT, DPT, created these patch programs to teach Girl Scouts about healthy living through exercise while allowing them to investigate professions that utilize exercise for healing such as Physical Therapy.
Dr. Tooles is a lifetime Girl Scout who earned her Bronze, Silver and Gold Award. In 2007, she was a Girl Scout of Distinction for Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey and in 2018 was a panelist for their Young Women of Vision Leadership breakfast. In 2020, Dr. Tooles received Girl Scouts of Jersey Shore Good Neighbor Community Award.
