Product credits, cookie credits, travel credits, cookie dough, oh my! Our systems were confusing, and we heard you, we need something easier.

Coming soon - a new, streamlined, and more flexible way to turn entrepreneurship into a Girl Scout experience built just for you!

Starting October 1, product credits and cookie dough are becoming GEMS (Girl Experience Membership Shop). Girl Scouts will earn GEMS by participating in the Fall Product and the Girl Scout Cookie programs. They can be used for camp, travel, programs, membership, and council merchandise.

Full details coming in September – stay tuned!

I still have product credits. What will happen to them?

Product Credits from Fall Product 2022 and Cookies 2023 will be converted to GEMS. They will expire on April 30, 2024. All earlier product credits will expire on September 30, 2023 and will not be converted.

I still have cookie dough, can I use it?

Yes, Cookie Dough gift cards can still be used as normal through their expiration date. They will not be converted to GEMS.

How will I know how many GEMS I have?

Starting October 1, you’ll be able to look up your GEMS at any time using this form: https://bit.ly/gsakgems

Requests to use GEMS are manually reviewed and applied to by GSAK staff, so updates to your account may be delayed while we process requests. During the Fall Product and Cookie programs, new GEMS will not be added until the programs are finalized in December and May.
